Current CAHS Student Appointments
Freshmen Mandatory Advising: Freshmen are required to meet with their academic advisor in the fall and spring semesters of their first year to be able to register.
Sophomore Mandatory Advising: Sophomores majoring in Advanced Medical Imaging Technology, Food & Nutrition, and Dietetics are required to see their advisor in the fall semester of their second year. Sophomores majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Health Sciences (all tracks), Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Social Work are required to see their advisor in the spring semester of their second year.
Transition Student Mandatory Advising: All transition students are required to meet with their assigned advisor in order to schedule classes for the following semester.
Junior and Senior Advising: Upperclassmen are strongly encouraged to meet with their assigned advisor at least once a year in order to stay current on degree progress.
Graduation Checks: Graduation checks can be completed online without an appointment. Students should initiate a graduation check online no sooner than two semesters prior to completing their academic program. The “grad check” will indicate whether college and university requirements are completed (and, if no, what courses must yet be taken). Students requesting a grad check will receive a response from their academic advisor via email.
Refer to the advising syllabus (PDF) to understand policies and procedures and your responsibilities versus those of your advisors. In addition, review the CAHS Student Handbook (PDF) to understand the colleges policies and procedures.
Appointments can be scheduled with your assigned advisor through Canopy/Starfish.
