Program Requirements

Program Requirements

Students pursuing a BS in Dietetics are required to earn a total of 202 quarter credits in general education, professional courses, and electives.  Students initially enroll as dietetics majors but must go through a second application to enter the Coordinated Program in Dietetics. 

 

It is possible to complete the entire program in 4 years plus one summer quarter, but the student must follow the suggested curriculum closely in order to schedule all of the required courses within the 3 years prior to the supervised practice portion of the program.  Availability of courses is subject to change.  The curriculum is as follows:

 

First Year

Fourth Year

Supervised Practice Experience                        

During the supervised practice portion of the CP, students rotate through a variety of long term care facilities, hospitals, food service management sites, and community settings.  The supervised practice experience is rigorous and demands a high level of commitment.  Students will work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
