Welcome to the University of Cincinnati Health Information Management Distance Learning Program (UC HIM DL). This program is designed to offer practicing Registered Health Information Technicians (RHITs) the opportunity to earn a Bachelors of Health Sciences Degree in Health Information Management via distance learning.

The HIM program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education. Graduates will be able to sit for the national certification examination to become Registered Health Information Administrators (RHIA). 

The program includes HIM core competencies and advanced practicum courses. The curriculum was designed to complement the knowledge gained in RHIT courses, as well as the knowledge gained in the work place.
