Nancy Steinberg Warren, M.S., C.G.C.
Recent accomplishments:
- Elected to the Board of Directors of the American Board of Genetic Counseling, 2000-2005; Elected Accreditation Chair, 2001-2003
- 1999 Excellence in Teaching Award (Clinical Track), College of Allied Health Sciences, University of Cincinnati
- 1998 National Society of Genetic Counselors Region IV Regional Leadership Award
Nancy Warren, M.S., C.G.C. was appointed by the National Society of Genetic Counselors as liaison to the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions. Recently, Nancy participated in a lobbying effort on Capitol Hill to enlist legislative support and sponsorship for the Allied Health Reinvestment Act. The bill was modeled on the Nursing Reinvestment Act, and proposes a number of strategies for promoting allied health training, including marketing the career options to HS students, scholarships, incentives for hospitals to participate in clinical training, and other means to address the growing workforce shortages in allied health.
