Mission/Vision of the Department of Nutritional Sciences
The mission of the Department of Nutritional Sciences is to educate competent, socially-responsible professionals in the areas of food, nutrition, and dietetics.
Through innovative teaching, didactic and experiential education, and scholarly work, graduates are prepared to make successful contributions in education and research, as well as to their communities and their chosen professions.
To implement this mission, the department:
- Trains nutrition and dietetics professionals.
- Contributes to research and scholarship within the field.
- Provides service to the community and the profession.
